I Have an Alcohol Problem?
Question by sadiemae: I have an alcohol problem?
I’m 53 and been on 60ml of prozac, trazadone and xanax. I drink about 8 beers also every day. I want to stop drinking cause I’m so messed-up and hardly eat anything. I’m 5’9 and weigh about 110pnds. Please, if you can help me. I just want to know how long it will take to detox at home off the beer.

Do it slowly and gradually then find a substitute for it. Have a search around for a good thing to swap it with 🙂

I would agree to come off of it slowly. Your body is addicted to it. People who come off of alcohol who are *seriously* addicted to alcohol actually are put on an alcohol drip — that’s how dangerous it is to come off too quickly.
I’d talk to a group like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) that would have a lot more experience with something like this.
