Addicts form when an individual simply crosses limits of self control to the point of becoming dependent and a compulsive obsession soon develops in him. Moreover the drug itself induces changes in brain chemistry in the reward-pleasure circuitry, leading to addiction. If a person does not consume drugs he need not become an addict.

Drug rehabs in Ohio are born out of drugs and addicts and their addiction. It can be a service sector or a profit center depending on motives of those who run it. Drug cartels would consider setting up drug rehabs since they profit from both ends: selling drugs to people and then curing them of addiction.

To this end a lot of research and developmental activities have been carried out by professionals in this field because the purpose of a rehab is to effectively cure an addict for life and the best methods are always being devised and sought in the interests of the addict.
